Jaida Penny is an undergraduate at the University of Western Australia, and a research assistant on the Early Neurodevelopment and Mental Health team at the Telethon Kids Institute. Her work focuses on equity in early childhood, particularly for Aboriginal babies and young children. Jaida was named as a finalist for the Aboriginal STEM Student of the Year award at the 2024 Premier's Science Awards.
